Can a Christian Fall From Grace?

There are religious denominations, which believe and teach that when a Christian sins it will not condemn him or cause him to be lost. Some teach that a way that one lives has nothing to do with the salvation of his soul. This is a doctrine that comes from men and not from God. This is a doctrine that will indeed cause many to be lost with a false sense of security never taught in the word of God.

There are several passages that show such a doctrine has no merit. Paul wrote under guidance of the Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.” The same apostle in Ephesians 5:5 said, “For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.”  Paul is teaching us that it doesn’t matter whether one commits these sins before becoming a Christian or after. Sin is sin and it will always condemn the soul of man and separate him from God. Finally Paul wrote in Galatians 5:4, “You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.”
